Life sciences executive, biopharmaceutical and strategy consulting
Michael is a life sciences executive with experience in biopharmaceutical companies and in strategy consulting. In the biotech industry, Michael served as Vice President and Head of US and Global Market Access and Pricing at Regeneron, with responsibility for market access, pricing, health policy and patient advocacy for the company portfolio, and helped launch four biologic therapies. He was also Vice President and Head, Global Market Access and Pricing, at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he led the development of global access and pricing strategies across all therapeutic areas.
Prior to industry, Michael was a senior strategy consulting professional at several life sciences consulting firms, including at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy (later IMS Consulting, now IQVIA), and as founding partner and head of the US consulting practice at Bridgehead International (later GfK Bridgehead), a global strategic consultancy. He worked with almost all the top and mid-tier pharmaceutical and biotech firms, as well as some investment funds, advising them on market access, pricing, reimbursement, commercial strategy and licensing issues.
Michael holds a degree in Natural Sciences/Biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University, an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences from the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, where he also serves on the school Alumni Board, and an MBA from the Columbia Business School.
