Michael Moffat is a founder of Black Ash Holdings, (Cooperstown, NY), a Director of USNY Bank and serves on the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of family office and philanthropic institutions including The Scriven Foundation, The Farmers' Museum (Cooperstown, NY) and Bassett Healthcare Network; an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in upstate New York.
Mr. Moffat was also appointed a Commissioner of the Central New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commission by Governor George Pataki in 1997. Mr. Moffat has served on the boards of Hyde Hall, The Otsego Land Trust, Otsego 2000, and The Otsego County Conservation Association. Mr. Moffat has supported a number of community based programs; he co-founded and serves on the board of directors of The Island School Foundation in Boca Grande, Florida. Mr. Moffat has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Brookwood School, and as President of the Cooperstown Country Club.
